Who's on your bus?
As a new (ish) mom I have developed a special appreciation for the word “helping.”

In our society it seems we do a lot to make sure our kids are independent. Unfortunately I think this creates problems later on in life, especially for women, because it creates people who are afraid to ask for help.

Asking for help has somehow become seen as a sign of weakness. A vulnerability that needs to be covered up. How can we possibly be perfect if we have to ask for help?

Since today is Mother’s Day it got me thinking about what it truly means for me to be a mom. I think about all the ways my life has changed since being a mom and I can’t imagine going back.

Becoming a mom has been the most challenging and rewarding thing that has ever happened to me. It has changed me in more ways then I think I will ever truly know and it has taught me seven invaluable lessons.
