4 ways to avoid getting sick this season

Let’s face it cold and flu season is coming. So far we have all been healthy in our home but it’s only a matter of time before we get hit. I know that as Noble gets older and spends more time playing with other kids he is learning to share toys but that also means sharing bugs.

With a two year old it’s impossible to stay germ free, especially because Noble likes to suck his thumb, and who knows what he has touched before putting it in his mouth. Thankfully we have been able to avoid getting sick because I put a strong focus on prevention.

How to HIIT Your Exercise Routine
I’m not going to lie, since having Noble one area that I continue to struggle with is my weekly exercise routine.  Before Noble I was running at least five times a week.  I also went to hot yoga, spin or pump classes at the gym. That has all changed.
 
Being a full time working mom of a baby means the amount of time I have for exercising has decreased by 100%.  It’s just hard to find the time. BUT I have not given up for a very important reason.

The importance of spending time in nature during pregnancy As we all know pregnancy is a super busy time, planning, preparing and all the upcoming changes can add additional stress to even the most Zen mama-to-be.  During this busy time it often becomes difficult to make time for a lot of things but your vitamin N should not be one of them.

Vitamin N?  Many are unfamiliar with this extremely important nutrient, the Nature Vitamin.  Not unlike all the other necessary vitamins and minerals our body needs to stay happy and healthy, the Nature Vitamin is no exception.

Staying active during pregnancyWe all know exercise is a great way to stay fit and healthy during pregnancy and as I mentioned here I have found that it drastically helped me cope with my nausea and moodiness throughout my pregnancy.  I also know how easy it is to make “excuses” or talk yourself out of going to the gym or engaging is some form of exercise when there are days it’s a struggle to get out of bed.

My Secret Weapon for Feeling Your Best During Pregnancy

The importance of exercise during pregnancyI’m now officially half way through my pregnancy and unfortunately still not feeling great.  On the bright side I keep reminding myself this is not going to last forever and thankfully there is one thing that has significantly helped.

I’m a strong believer of crap in crap out, and when you are pregnant, hormonal and overall not feeling great it sometimes seems easier to justify curling up on the couch with your favourite comfort food.  However, easier is not necessarily better, especially when it comes to our lifestyle choices.
